How to see the beauty in life even on your darkest days

These are things that have helped me when I’ve been struggling to see any meaning in life
1. Take pictures everyday and keep them in a visual journal
Take a picture of something you do or watch everyday and keep it somewhere you often look at, this is a way to store memories while reminding yourself that life matters
2. Write down everytime something good happens, even if it’s a small thing
This has helped me more than anything, it reminds me why life matters and how there’s still beauty in the smallest mundane things
3. Have a playlist that gives off the vibe you want to have
If you want to be give off tumblr vibes, then create a playlist for that, or if you want to give off gossipgirl vibes then make a playlist for that
4. Choose to think of your life as meaningful by giving meaning to things in your life
What I mean is, maybe we’re never gonna know what’s the meaning of life, but if we choose to make things matter then we are already giving meaning to those things, life becomes what you choose to focus on
5. Use each day as a way to experiment with your style
You can dress based on your mood, or try dressing like your favorite character
6. Create a little routine, that can give comfort
Mine: wake up 8:30, lit my candle, drink water, get dressed, make my breakfast, write poetry, track my mood, listen to my playlist, read, drink tea, go out for a walk, etc
7. Consume things that give you something
Like watching movies that make you feel or read books that make you think, anything that adds something
8. Associate yourself with the person you want to be
If you want to be a confident, pretty tumblr girl, decide that it’s what you relate to being and how everyone sees you
9. Have monthly or weekly favorites
This can be helpful to see that each week matter, plus it challenges you to explore more of what you like and don’t like, trying new hobbies, listen to new music etc
10. Keep a diary where you write down your thoughts, feelings etc
This is another tool that gets you to see the depth of your life, who you are as a person and get to know your inner thoughts and feelings
11. document things you watch and read
Review it and write down what it meant to you or if you felt something and what you learned
