what stood out the most for me was edward—undeniably magnetic. the scene that left a lasting impression was when edward and the rest of the cullens made their iconic entrance at school. it was cinematic, mysterious, and perfectly crafted to make you freeze mid-popcorn chew.
the storyline? honestly, i found it incredibly captivating. not in a deep, intellectual way, but in that can’t-look-away, heart-throbbing, what-am-i-watching-but-i-love-it kind of way. it draws you in and holds you hostage.
the acting was surprisingly good—especially from kristen stewart and robert pattinson. i know people love to mock them, but the emotional tension, the awkwardness, the longing? chef’s kiss.
visually, the film nails it. the rainy, overcast tones of forks? the cold blue palette? it pulls you into its moody world. and don’t even get me started on the soundtrack—it’s absolutely phenomenal. haunting, nostalgic, and emotionally resonant.
were there cringe moments? oh, definitely. most of them centered around bella—her expressions, her delivery, the awkward pauses… it’s a vibe, but also a bit of a second-hand embarrassment situation.
despite that, i absolutely love rewatching twilight. it’s one of those films i could loop endlessly, especially when i need comfort or background drama. it has that rewatchable magic that’s hard to explain but easy to feel.
final thoughts? i was satisfied, entertained, and mildly amused. though i still can’t get over the ending dance scene—bella in leggings under a dress with sneakers? it haunts me more than any vampire ever could.
