Such a great and versatile album- a perfect blend of upbeat jams and powerful ballads that eloquently convey Roger’s complex amalgamation of emotions. Must listen!

An interesting new sound from Beyonce, this album definitely has some incredible material. Certain songs stand out as immediate hits, though others fade into obscurity as quite a few tracks lack the musical power or emotional lyricism to remain in any listener’s head.

Though the EP is short, all four songs once again convey Hozier’s impressive ability to constantly generate powerful hits. Its cohesion and sound both work to make this a must-listen EP.

McAlpine’s third album arrived with minimal announcement, and seems to have continued along a similar trend. While it’s got some beautiful tracks and continues to utilize her soft, acoustic sound, a lot of the record felt monotonous and dry, compared to the unique power from her last album. Would still recommend, but definitely a bit more disappointing.

While definitely not a “concept album,” as she had described, Grande’s newest record impressively takes her voice in a new direction: sharing raw, complex stories of relationships the public had previously seen quite minimally. Combining vulnerability with pop perfection, this album is one of the best of the year.

Somehow, Musgraves hasn’t been able to recover since Golden Hour. Every album has promise and a unique theme, but the music never ultimately stands on its own. Her voice is incredible, as always, but after numerous listens, this record still exists in a pretty dry and forgettable space.

While this album is finally bringing Charli to a larger platform of fame, many discussions seem to omit the complex thematic material present in BRAT. This masterpiece combines intense beats and raw emotion, creating a full experience that can’t be replicated. The record feels monumental, and will surely be remembered for decades.

On her stunning debut album, Chinouriri unpacks a number of growing pains through powerful sound and unique vocals. While the album can be less engaging at times, the constant cohesion and sheer perfection of its first three tracks definitely make this a must-listen record.

Eilish’s third album is the type of concept album that Grande wanted to have. With minimal announcement or press, this ten-track record has only continued to prove the supremacy that Eilish holds in the industry. Each song is dynamic, unique, powerful, soft, and cohesive, somehow all at the same time. From her vocals and lyricism, to the insanely impressive production, this has AOTY potential.

It’s painful to say that this album disappoints. While each single released ahead of time was extremely great, all of the other tracks are significantly less exciting, making the album release quite anticlimactic. This album feels a little confused, unsure of itself in relation to the supposed theme and aesthetic that was planned. Songs aren’t bad, but they don’t feel cohesive, as if Lipa just forced a bow around individual tracks and forced them to fit under a theme.

For someone that’s been hailed as an incredible songwriter and lyricist, this album was shocking. The simple production was already forgettable, forcing this record to try and depend on its lyricism, which ultimately was Swift’s worst writing in her discography, often pulling a listener out of the experience because the words are so strikingly poor. Some songs are enjoyable (if the lyrics are ignored), but many others just exist as forgettable filler. This did not need to be a double album; perhaps if Swift had only released the fifteen best tracks from the pool of thirty-one, it would have been a different story.
