“i don't think you're quitting because you believe these things you say. i don't. i think you want to believe them, because you're quitting.” ⋆ ˚｡⋆୨୧˚ the opening and credit scene was a cinematic masterpiece on its own. I adore every single camera angles in this whole movie, beautiful. the soundtrack is absolutely amazing but of course it is, its made by howard shore (he made the soundtrack for silence of the lambs) i love the contrast of mills being the asshole sort of detective while somerset was ur usual calm n cool sort of detective. its an unlikely duo and i love them so so bad. i love that you can feel the what the characters are feeling, especially somerset. its amazing acting. the inner battle that mills through at the end was peak, getting to see him go through almost every emotion a person can through before he finally decided what to do.
