Writing
Take a moment to write your thoughts, thing you’re grateful for, things that made you happy or small achievements you had throughout the day
Do a selfcare routine
Gua sha, a lymphatic drainage massage, dry brushing
Read your favorite book
Take a long hot shower
Take your time to cleanse yourself of everything that no longer serves you. Use your favorite products to enjoy it more
Listen to calming music
I love calming jazz to relax myself
Go out on a walk
20 minutes is enough and walk slowly
Meditate
Listen to a guided meditation to calm your mind and relax your body
Stretch
Do a gentle yoga or pilates class
Make your favorite drink
Tea, coffee, matcha latte or a glass of wine.
Cook your favorite simple meal
A simple comfort food that you enjoy
Take a nap
15 minutes is what’s recommended to recover after being stressed
Dancing with yourself
Play your favorite song and just go with the vibe dancing. Don’t think too much about it
Hug someone or yourself
This is one of my favorites to calm down when I’m feeling overwhelmed
Breathing exercises
Similar to doing a guided meditation but you just focus on your breathing, inhale in 3 seconds, hold for other 3 and exhale in 5 seconds
Detox your environment
There are many ways to do this, you can organize your space, get rid of things you no longer use, need or want; delete photos of your phone, stop following accounts that don’t add value to your life, etc.
