my top 10 taylor swift songs
tina (radiohead's version) - Updated 08/15/24
honourable mentions: forever winter, you are in love, florida!!!, this is me trying, delicate, coney island, eyes open, holy ground
1. you're on your own, kid
words can't describe how much i love and relate to this masterpiece. totally deserves to be played nine times at the eras tour (taylor pls add it to the setlist i beg you)
2. peace
this is her most relatable song ever, its lyricism is so vulnerable yet so honest... it's her best song written about joe tbh
3. happiness
this song is taylor's most well-written and saddest at the same time. i SOBBED when she finally played it as a surprise song
4. out of the woods
this one is one of the first songs that made me a swiftie, so everything about it is very dear to me. the production is top tier and one of her best (thank you jack antonoff)
5. cowboy like me
this song is very unique and satisfying to analyse, and has one of best bridges in taylor's discography. last but not least, i associate this song with 'brokeback mountain', which is one of my favourite movies of all time!
6. cornelia street
in my opinion, this song is the epitomy of love and album lover. i don't even know why i love it so much, but taylor sounds amazing (especially in the chorus) and the lyrics are great
7. my tears ricochet
well... i've been betrayed by a person i loved the most, so this one definetely has a special place in my heart. i even remember having a non-stop crying session to this song in october-november 2023:( the eras tour performance is also great
8. the last time (feat. gary lightbody)
dare i say one of her most underrated songs EVER and for what???? the last time walked so exile could run. i love how taylor and gary sound together, and the oh-oh's before chorus are literally my fav part
9. clara bow
if you get it, you get it. i adore her songs about fame and its circumstances, and this is definetely my favourite among all of them. i cried when she dedicated clara bow to stevie nicks and mash-upped it with the lucky one (which is also an amazing song btw)
10. state of grace
her best opener. it always gets me so exited to listen to red (my second fav ts album). the lyrics are emotional and sensible in the best way, and the energetic production is the best part of the song (i mean THE DRUMS!!!!!)
